I need to get up off the sofa and do something today. Such were my thoughts three hours ago... yet still, here I sit.
How is it that a day at work crawls by, each minute an eternity, but a day of complete leisure, leafing through books, bouncing around the internet, and thinking about engaging in fun, interesting, but completely pointless activities, flashes past in the wink of an eye?
It's already mid-way through Tuesday. Where did Saturday, Sunday, and Monday disappear to?
[EDIT] Okay, I went for a run, then drove the car up to the second- nearest auto shop to have the annual safety inspection done. I found out they aren't doing safety inspections at that shop right now because they're out of the forms, and the manager hasn't felt like driving in to town to pick up more. I planned to have the inspection done this week at the closest auto shop, but that shop is on suspension from the state for issuing bogus safety inspections. That's how it's done here, by the way. If you know the guy who knows the guy, and you're willing to pay fifty bucks instead of twenty, you can get any vehicle "safety certified."
Now that I've finished my delicious lunch of packaged ramen noodles, shall I:
1. Work on the Room of Doom
2. Photograph some stuff and write up descriptions for eBay
3. Finish reading The 4-Hour Workweek
4. Fool around on the internet
5. Take a nap
6. Squander the rest of the afternoon (it's 2:30 p.m. already) trying to decide what to do
It's off-and-on raining outside today, so it's a good day to work on "inside" projects.
