I saw a television advert for the film Stardust last night. The first five seconds of the ad I was saying to myself, "whoa, what's this?" Within ten seconds, it was, "oh, shoot, this is that Gaiman film!"
The "oh shoot" factor I shall detail later, and at length, if I can summon the necessary energy and enthusiasm. The first few seconds of that trailer inspired so many lines of thought I scarcely know where to begin. I jotted down nearly a page of notes on the ideas it engendered.
Is this the appropriate application of the term, "engendered"?
