Altogether Ooky

Apparently I achieved two of my life's goals a couple of weekends ago:

I met one someone whom I admire... and I became someone whom I admire! Apparently.

I mean, this is kind of mysterious and spooky, isn't it?

I wish I'd dressed more formally. Next time, perhaps!

("Maniacal," she says. Perhaps there's something to that!)

So, I held off responding while I tried to figure out what was going on. The mathematical calculations of the possibilities are exhausting me. #1, you got to meet K and family? #2, K. said she would think of you from henceforth as Gomez? Or Astin, himself?

It took me a while to figure out what was going on too. I held off looking at the photos for a couple of weeks after initially glancing at them, because I thought they were so awful. I finally checked them out again... and was both dismayed and delighted to see how much we resembled the Addams Family. At least in my perception.

I could not find a photo of Gomez with Wednesday, which would probably be more appropriate.

But, yeah: I got to meet K; and, I realized I'm kind of starting to look like Gomez (in the Astin incarnation) Addams.

When I was nine or ten years old, The Addams Family aired in syndicated reruns on local television, and I became an avid fan. I so wanted to be just like Gomez Addams one day. In fact, I rather envied one of my friends, Rick Talley, whom I thought looked remarkably like Gomez, even at age ten.

Now I'm starting to look like Gomez. I need to track down an antiquated dress suit to complete the transformation. Oh, and become independently wealthy; and live in a rambling old house with a mansard roof.
