I'm actually amazed by yorkies advertising campaign.
It simply states:
YORKIE: ITS NOT FOR GIRLS.
I'm surprised they haven't had women movements protest against them, threaten to burn their factories and threaten to steal their pet dogs and hold them hostage. Yet nobody has kicked up a fuss. Truely amazing considering how prudish some brits can be.
Years ago, a brand of soap called Irish Spring was originally marketed in a black box with bold lettering as "a manly soap." Later, advertisements featured a woman saying, "made for a man, but I like it too!" which became something of a pop-cultural tag line. Alas, the sexist ad campaign fell by the wayside, and Irish Spring is now sports an innocuous "Clean & Fresh" tag line.
Today it's fine for rappers to "sing" about whupping their be-yotches, but there would be no tolerance for marketing a gender-specific candy bar, even in an obviously jocular manner.
Violet Crumble, "The Australian Bite," is the only one of these I've been able to find in America.
Strong enough for a man, but pH balanced for a woman.
