The hour grows late, and I grow weary. I didn't watch the Godzilla movie, nor did I write about my exciting morning at Wal-Mart, where I bought shoes. I was going to write about shoes, and about denim jeans, and about my trip to the motorcycle shop. The motorcycle shop trip took place two weeks ago.

I"ll mention the weather, because that's what blogging is all about, so I've read: temperatures in the high 70s (Fahrenheit), mostly overcast, occasional light showers, little wind, the current moderate northwest swell is diminishing. Forecast calls for increasing rain.

They were cheap shoes, Faded Glory brand; they're basically knock-off Converse All-Stars. I recently bought some new Converse low-tops. Today when I saw the cheap sneakers for one-third the price, I decided to buy them as kind of a comparison test.

I also bought jeans, four pairs for what one pair of Levi's would cost. They're not identical to Levi's, but, like, on me all clothes look cheap and shoddy, so it doesn't really matter. Buying these jeans today was a profound right of passage for me, about which I also planned to write. At the moment, however, creative zeal has deserted me.

I really need to start exercising again. I was going to write about that, too.
