End of an Era

I just tossed my iMac in the dumpster.

The iMac... on which I met Zannah! And Nari! And through them, pretty much all the rest of you!

The iMac that was my real introduction to the amazing world of the internet.

Not Only a Threadkiller, but...

... now my LJ contacts are hiding from me!

None of Trippy's, er, I mean Kurii's mom's posts between 12/29 and 12/31 showed up on my "Friends page."

I got the chair post, and the "personal goals" post, but nothing in between.

I just happened to click over to her actual site a few minutes ago, and discovered I'd been missing out on all kinds of cool stuff, like Dr. Who and suicide.

Maybe I'm being filtered. Must've been that "hawt" comment.

Surrounded by Greatness

Soon I'll be able to count another published author among my interweb acquaintances. Former National Spelling Bee contestant Jasmine K. will have an essay published in the January issue of Imagine Magazine, a publication of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.

Well done, Jas! You're one of the best and brightest among the the best and brightest!
