"Hi, I'm Kimmie," said the message when I logged on to LJ today. It went on to describe an instant messaging service of some kind. And then there's the new layout.

LJ is really trying to turn itself into MySpace, isn't it?

I'm sure the LJ people are irked that a lame site like MySpace made its creators billionaires. So I guess I can't blame them for trying to emulate popular success.

It just sucks that popular success equates with, you know, stupidity.
