I need to run some errands today, but I'm suddenly afflicted with a cold, so I don't really feel like it. But I'll go anyway. I'm having Quaker Oats Cap'n Crunch Cereal for breakfast, which means I'll experience a massive blood-sugar crash in an hour or two and become really irritable, and possibly end up with a headache. Still, it's yummy. I begin a new class at the University of Phoenix tonight, MAT 537 Curriculum Constructs and Assessment: Physical Education and Health. This upcoming class overlaps the current class by a week -- the current class has a TON of stuff due this coming Monday on which I'd best get started. I can't believe today is Thursday already; where has this week gone? I'll be back to doing school-related stuff next week, beginning Tuesday. School here in beautiful Hawaii starts the week of July 25, the middle of summer. That's just sick, you know? I'll be substitute teaching for the Hawaii Department of Education, Leeward District, until I finish my student teaching in December. Okay, I have polished off a large cup of Tropicana Orange Juice and a fizzy dissolved "Airborne" tablet to boost my immune system, I brushed my teeth with Crest toothpaste, and I have an icy-cold Coca-Cola Classic ready to go. Shopping list in hand, it's time to hit the road in my Chrysler PT Cruiser.
As predicted, I ended up becoming quite irritable within a few hours of my nutritious breakfast of sugar and yellow dye #5. And my day ended up being more expensive than anticipated and less productive. ( Collapse )
