Don't you wish your teachers were this cool?

By the way, I gave the kid who scored "14" on the math test the opportunity to work on it a little more. A girl who scored in the low 40's also wanted to try. I let 'em spin some platters, or whatever the iTunes digital equivalent is, of their top hip-hop faves while they worked...
Don't you touch my hump
My lovely lady lump
My hump, my hump, my hump

... and Mister 14 brought his score up by 40 points, and Ms. Forty-something scored a hundred. Ms. N., working hard with her head practically pressed against the eMac's Harman Kardons, pulled off a 94. I think I'm happier about it than she is. If Ms. N. can get 94/100 on a math test while being bombarded by

What'cha gonna do with all that junk
All that junk inside your trunk

then I guess I'm gonna have to develop a tolerance for hip-hop. Or get some earplugs.

Finished and submitted two assignments for my current class this weekend. I'm taking this class as a "Directed Study," which means no class meetings, just internet communication with an instructor, and lots of reading and writing. I have no clue what the instructor expects in the way of assignments, so I just have to wait and see what kind of feedback I get. Considering that each of five assignments is worth 20% of the grade, I'll be somewhat ill at ease until I have a better idea of what the guy wants to see.

I did well in my previous class that ended last week. That's three down! Dunno how many to go, I'm hesitant to count them!
