Toast on the Mac seems to burn better DVDs from imported analog footage than do most of the basic programs I've tried on the PC. On the PC, however, Ulead's DVD Workshop performs very nicely, with video captured through a variety of capture programs.
My interview with the department of education was on December 14th, but they did not place my name in the active pool until the first week of January. In the meantime, during the last week of December, the intermediate school where I sub most frequently was looking for a replacement 8th grade math instructor, and they specifically looked for my name. Even though I'd passed the interview and was accepted for the applicant pool, my name had not yet been made active, so I missed out.
