Remember back when I bought the Mac Powerbook, and then, like, two weeks later they came out with the MacBook Pro? Okay, so, a couple-three months ago I finally bought a Canon 20D camera, which I'd been coveting for quite some time. Then guess what? Canon comes out with a 30D model, which is essentially identical except it has "spot metering," which is a function I use quite frequently even with my little Sony Cybershot; and, a significantly larger LCD screen; and improved battery performance. In other words, it's got all the "little things" that I find extremely useful.

How do I time these major purchases so well?

I have not even opened the box from B&H Photo, I've been too busy with work and school. Perhaps I could send it all back.
