Just... you know... because....

I can't say I agree even remotely with the accuracy of this assessment:

You are Haneoka Meimi

You are athletic and determined, though not necessarily the best of students. You have a strong sense of justice and are always willing to help those in need. You love to joke around, and have tons of friends. Though you love a good chase, you never like to get caught.

Take the "What Magic Girl are you?" Quiz

Actually, there is a reason for posting this: it's cute and it's dumb. (I really, really find myself tempted to add, "like the best women," but considering that of the already few people on my "friends" list, the majority of them are female, I think in this case discretion is most assuredly the better part of valor). Today, you see, was rather annoying in many insignificant, but cumulatively taxing, ways. Rather than rant and gripe about it, I ran across the above absurd quiz, which I took because, what can I say, it features anime girls in short skirts; obviously the quiz is slanted toward girls, so I had to kind of "invert" most of the questions... hey, do you suppose that means I have to "invert" the result, too? In that case... gosh, it's actually quite accurate! Huh. Now ain't that somethin'!

Anyway, I'm going to watch the film "Falling Down," starring Michael Douglas, which I've always meant to see but never have, and which I understand is about petty annoyances adding up to overload. I guess it's not really the kind of movie I usually seek out, so just in case, I have "Cutthroat Island" and "Lagaan" on standby. And some "Chobits" volumes are copying on the PC.

(I noted the "Love Hina" mini-review on "All Consuming." I'll have to dust off the complete box set that's sitting, unwatched, on the shelf. And... uh... dig out the graphic novels, unread, buried in a box. Or I could watch the original Japanese-release discs rather than the American, I suppose....)

Okay. Enough. Ice cream is on the immediate agenda.
