I just finished calculating and entering my quarter, semester, and year-end grades for my intermediate school classes. The diskette used by the school requires Mac OS 9 to operate. Fortunately, I have a habit of hoarding Permian-era technology, so my desktop iMac is still equipped with a "Classic" mode, which apparently the shiny new Powerbook lacks. Whatever, the grades are done, it's 1:43 a.m., and I gotta get up at 6 a.m. to face my last day with the students. Not that it's a "real" day at school. It's another half-day 'study hall" with my homeroom. I kinda don't see the point in having the students come to school for 3 hours just to sit in home room. But it's not like I'm in charge, ya know?
I'm trying hard not to feel too melancholy. Overall I'm happy the school year is winding down; I'm ready for a break. There are, however, a number of students whom I shall miss quite a lot.
Okay, sleep time.
